What to bring, and what not to bring.
What to bring:
- Sleeping Bag/Blankets
- Single sheets to put on mattress
- Pillowcase
- Note: If you are staying in lake lodge and Waitawa there is a lightweight Duvet and pillow provided but you need to pack sheets and a pillowcase and an extra blanket if you get cold
- Old clothes you don’t mind getting messy and wet in
- Running/sports shoes
- Spare shoes not used in games so they won’t be muddy and wet
- Jandles/Sandles can be a good idea so that if it’s raining you won’t get wet socks
- Sun block and Insect repellent
- Sun hat
- Drink bottle (pop your name on it)
- Torch
- Togs
- Towel (sometimes two is handy if you’re doing lots of swimming)
- Spare bag for wet togs and towels
- Warm clothes
- Jacket
- Your bible, pen and notebook
- Named gear you might like to use during freetime like sports gear, packs of cards, board games etc
- Fave board or card game if you would like it for free time or board game elective.
- Bring your musical Instrument if you want to do the Music Elective.
- We are having a dance party plan with your youth group what to wear so make sure you bring your costume.
- Some money for the Canteen.
- A packet of biscuits for Youth Group Time.
- Ear Buds/Headphones (The main sessions can be loud so if you need something to block out the noise)
- Quiet fidget toys
What not to bring:
- Alcohol, drugs and weapons. Any of these will result in your going home immediately and items will be confiscated, no exceptions, no refunds. If the law is broken, the police will be informed.
- If you bring valuables you do so at your own risk.
- A stink attitude – everyone hates that!
- Camp will be a smokefree and vape free zone. (if this is an issue for you please talk to your key leader)
